Shelter: BC SPCA - East Kootenay Branch Animal ID: 548308 Birthdate: May 11, 2018 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: No Female Tawny arrived to the shelter after being caught pregnant on a rural property. With her kittens about to be born, she quickly found a caring animal lover who would scoop her up and get her into foster so she could deliver in peace and cleanliness. And that's just what she did. Low and behold, 2 days into foster care and this pregnant mama gave birth to 4 sweet and healthy kittens. Tawny has spent her time in foster soaking up love from the kids of her foster family and loving on her sweet kittens to make sure they're healthy and ready for adoption! And now that she's done being an incredible mother to her sweet kittens, it's time for Tawny to find the perfect home of her own! Tawny is very affectionate and will snuggle up to you and rub her cheeks all over your table legs to tell you how beautiful she is. Her foster family thinks she would do well in a home with children as she is very comfortable around young'ins and just wants to soak up the love wherever she can get it! Tawny has shown interest in learning how to wear a harness or exploring a contained catio to ensure she can explore the great outdoors in a safe manner, free of harms way! In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we've made changes to our adoption process. 1. Submit an application: spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/ 2. Staff will contact you to set-up an appointment to come in for a visit! Thank you for continuing to help animals find loving new homes! This enables us to keep caring for new animals at risk, even with limited staffing.
