Shelter: BC SPCA - East Kootenay Branch Animal ID: 550059 Birthdate: June 12, 2014 - Senior Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male Introducing Peter, the sweetest little man with a very cute mustache and an affinity for catnip and belly rubs. Peter came from a very serious hoarding situation and because of that, he arrived to the animal care staff in need of some long awaited TLC! After some dental surgery and lots of TLC from our medical team and animal care team, he has shown us all just how much of a gentleman he truly is. Petey is often found making the Animal Care staff smile as he mews sweet little mews at us from his kennel and rolls around on his back to politely ask us for a belly rub. We know, we know, cats? Belly rubs? But trust us, Peter really does love belly rubs! He is all-in-all a very sweet boy who can understandably be fearful of loud noises or fast movements but is quickly more than willing to soak up all the love once you're in his good books! Because of his past, Peter is very comfortable around other cats and would do well going home with one of his resident friends here at the shelter or potentially meeting your resident kitty, should they be a good personality match! We can't say for sure how long Peter lived in the situation he was found in but we know one thing is for sure, after all he has been through, he deserves a quiet and loving retirement home where he can soak up all the sunshine from a window cat tree, all the belly rubs he could ever dream of and a delicious bowl of wet food in the morning! He's a simple man who's ready to live the simple life! In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we've made changes to our adoption process. 1. Submit an application: spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/ 2. Staff will contact you to set-up an appointment to come in for a visit! Thank you for continuing to help animals find loving new homes! This enables us to keep caring for new animals at risk, even with limited staffing.
