ANKORS Cranbrook is now hiring!Peer Leadership Development Coordinator We are looking for a Peer Leadership Development Coordinator to complement our dynamic team. This position is a one year contract with possibility of further funding. Duties include: Responsible for the delivery of the peer leadership development, training and mentorship of PWUD Peer Leaders including ANKORS peer health navigators for the East Kootenay Region Communities. Ability to work from a harm reduction lens Group development, implementation and facilitation skills Working collaboratively with our community partners within the East Kootenay and our provincial partners. Ability to work with People who use drugs and vulnerable populations in a respectful and dignified manner Working within a dynamic team atmosphere. Represent and/or support project staff and peers in local, regional and provincial efforts to address the overdose crisis and its impact on Interior Health Identified communities Qualifications: Human Service Worker Diploma or related post-secondary education and previous work experience in this field. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Those with lived experience strongly encouraged to apply. Good computer skills, excellent communication skills and an extensive knowledge of harm reduction principles and practice, vulnerable populations and people who use drugs.
