CLERK-SECRETARY-RECEPTIONIST VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS CASUAL ON CALL The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary invites qualified applicants to apply for casual on call position with an opportunity to work in various departments at the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary office in Trail, BC. DUTIES: The duties and reporting structure are as per the Job Descriptions of each department on the RDKB website and include the following: &bull Answering incoming telephone calls, receiving public inquiries and providing information and/or referring inquiries to appropriate departments. &bull Word processing. &bull Maintaining department filing system. &bull Processing incoming and outgoing mail. &bull Scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings. &bull Receiving, balancing and depositing cash receipts QUALIFICATIONS: The qualifications are as per the Job Descriptions of each Department on the RDKB website and include the following: &bull High School graduation. &bull Training as an Administrative Assistant with at least three years' experience in a similar setting &bull Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and desktop publishing. &bull Good communication skills and a proven ability to work with the public. &bull Word processing skills (Word, Excel, etc.) and desktop publishing. &bull Knowledge of Civic Web and Adobe Acrobat are an asset. &bull Ability to operate other common office equipment. SALARY: This is a casual on call position offering $28.79 per hour (January 2019). WORK SITE LOCATION: Regional District of Kootenay Boundary, 843 Rossland Avenue, Trail, BC HOURS OF WORK: As needed coverage for various departments.
