Shelter: BC SPCA - East Kootenay Branch Animal ID: 503213 Birthdate: December 05, 2018 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Female Sweet Indie is looking for an extra loving home to help her flourish after her difficult journey in life so far. Indie arrived as a transfer from a shelter in Alberta where she has been living almost her entire life. Unfortunately, this has left Indie under socialized and very fearful of people which will likely be something her forever family will have to manage throughout her life. Indie has never shown an ounce of aggression, instead her reaction is to keep her distance to ensure that she stays safe. To try and help with her socialization and fear, Indie is on anxiety-medication and is now in foster to try and help her learn what life in a home in really like. With a little patience and LOTS of love, treats, and praise Indie is starting to feel more comfortable but still has a ways to go. She is house trained, lives well with cats, is very quiet and absolutely ADORES other dogs - she transforms into a new dog when they are around. Indies ideal home will have a friendly canine companion that can help Indie work on her confidence and willingness to approach new friends. Her foster family has been hard at work clicker training some basic commands and is happy to report that she does come up for snuggles with some encouragement.
