Victim Service Caseworker Part Time The Grand Forks Victim Services Unit is seeking a temporary part time Victim Service Case Worker who has proven skills in crisis intervention and can work in a fast paced, dynamic and demanding environment. The Victim Service Case Worker's duties will include providing on-call crisis intervention support, information and referrals to victims/witnesses of crime and trauma. You will be exposed to highly traumatized people and situations. Depending on the type of call, you may need to navigate through uneven terrain and/or sit and stand for extended periods of time. The successful candidate will possess the following; graduation from grade 12 supplemented by courses in trauma informed practice in crisis intervention, critical incident stress and conflict resolution, plus related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. It is preferred you have experience in social services and knowledge of the criminal justice system. You must also have excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills. The incumbent must be able to work independently with limited supervision and function effectively under conditions of emergency and conflict. There is a requirement to possess a valid class 5 BC driver's license, have a reliable vehicle, as well as obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Security and Vulnerable Sector Clearance. The incumbent must reside within the Grand Forks Detachment policing area.
