ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT Grand Forks, BC As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable, performing various accounting tasks, and providing general administrative support. This role requires you to work in the office 5 days a week. What You Offer Perform full scope of accounts payable &ndash process vendor invoices and employee expenses, verify accuracy of transactions in compliance with legislation and policies, and respond to vendor inquiries. Vendor account reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies. Assist and provide backup support to other accounting staff as required. Process project-related purchase orders and reconcile project spending. Reception duties including greeting guests, administering safety orientations, sorting and distributing mail, scheduling meetings, and ordering office supplies. Assist with organizing and executing mill tours and events. What You Offer Accounts payable and general accounting experience preferred. Technical administrative or business training and/or related experience. Forest industry familiarity/experience is an asset. Competency with accounting software systems. Highly organized with an ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines. Proficient in data entry - ability to process a large volume of work and maintain a high level of accuracy when preparing and entering information. Team player and self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision and direction. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to effectively and courteously communicate information (written &amp verbal) and clarify requirements. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
