Position: Executive Director/Grant Writer The Spark Society for Youth is accepting applications for the permanent P/T (possibly fulltime) position of a dedicated, long term Executive Director/Grant Writer starting June 1st, 2023. This position helps us set direction and ensure the longevity of our organization to continue our 29 years and counting. The position is accountable to the Board of Directors. The 20-30 hrs a week position, (may vary), Monday to Friday, flexible. Spark Youth Society owns the Spark youth Centre building, where the FREE after school &ldquoYouth DROP IN &ldquo Life Skills for Youth program has been in operation for decades. Assisting youth in Mental health needs is one of our top priorities. We are dedicated to the well being of our community youth and their programs that provide them opportunity to learn as well as a safe place to belong. The Executive Director is responsible for: Promoting the integrity and philosophy of the Spark Society. Ensuring all programs and financial policies, procedures, requirements, and obligations are met in a timely manner. Working closely and building relationships with community partners, funding agencies and government sponsors. Developing, hiring, and retaining staff, all HR duties. Working with the board of directors, providing monthly report at meetings attended. Grant writing and administration, working with a bookkeeper. *Asset: experience working with non profit organization, youth, Board of Directors, and grant writing deadlines.
