Position: Skilled Labourer Location: Lower Mainland, BC Job Type: Full-time, Permanent The wage range for this role (depending on experience): $25.00 - $29.00 per hour Overview Complete Utility Contractors is a lower mainland based and highly experienced civil/utility company. We are actively seeking career minded individuals that wish to continually grow and develop within our organization. We are currently looking to fill a Skilled Labourer position which is critical to executing on our committed project workload for 2024. What you will be doing * Assist with the installation of underground utilities including storm, water, sanitary, electrical and gas. Work with experienced crews and alongside heavy equipment. * Basic equipment, power, and hand tool operation. * Working with excavator to ensure proper grade, depths and backfill. * Construction materials movement and organization, off loading/loading and disposal. * Maintain good employee morale, communication, and teamwork. * Understand OH&S safe work practices and procedures and follow them consistently. * Provide leadership and aid in training junior employees. * Provide feedback to supervisors and management on process improvements. * Identifying problems and innovation/team coordinationWhat we are looking for * 3 to 5 years experience in utility construction preferred or other construction streams required. * Able to complete assigned tasks on the projects and direct others in the course of their work throughout the shift. * Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies. * Positive and motivated with the willingness to learn. * Must be able to work safely in a physically demanding environment. * Have a good understanding of tools and materials on-site, including proper use and maintenance. * Have knowledge of OH&S regulations and knowledge of construction disciplines (knowledge of materials and methods required). * Valid BC Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract.Why work for Complete Utility * Competitive compensation and vacation package * Comprehensive Extended Health, Dental and Vision plan * RRSP matching program * Company Pillars – Communication – Development – Innovation – Trust - Teamwork * Exceptional employee inclusion, recognition, and career progression * Equal Opportunity EmployerApply at: https://www.completeutility.ca/careers.php Company: Complete Utility Contractors Salary: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour Contract: PERMANENT
