Position: Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Location: Castlegar, BC Hours: 35 hours/week Wage: $38.51/hour to start, as per the collective agreement *Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required *Relocation allowance may be considered for the successful candidate Summary: Axis is currently recruiting permanentFull-time Licensed Practical Nursesfor our holistic, community-based Withdrawal Management Program in Castlegar, BC. We are a small team who work closely together to offer a welcoming, safe, caring, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental climate for individuals taking their first steps towards substance misuse recovery. Double-staffed and catering to only eight patients at a time, Axis provides a low stress working environment utilizing a person-centered approach to meet the specific needs of each individual. This role is best suited for empathetic Licensed Practical Nurses with a keen interest in a harm reduction approach. All services offered in the program are evidence-based and client-directed to focus on building strength and resiliency in the person served. Services include recovery planning, regular monitoring of withdrawal symptoms, medication management, peer support, counselling, and Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT) when applicable.
